Roadnet Technologies to Sponsor Baltimore Light The Night Walk Scheduled for Nov. 3
Baltimore, MD (October 10, 2012) – Roadnet Technologies, the Baltimore-based vehicle routing and scheduling software company that helps businesses optimize their fleet’s operations, is pleased to sponsor the Baltimore “Light The Night Walk,” scheduled for Saturday, November 3. The event, which will be held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards is designed to raise funds to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Festivities commence at 5:30 pm and the 2.5 mile walk starts at 7:00 pm beginning at 333 West Camden Street in Baltimore.
The leisurely walk involves people of all ages carrying illuminated balloons - white signifying the person is a survivor, red for supporters of the cause and gold representing the memory of loved ones lost to cancer - that form a community of caring that brings light to the dark world of cancer.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a non-profit organization dedicated toward the goal of finding a cure to leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease and myeloma while improving the quality of life for patients and their families. More than one million people living in the United States suffer from one of these ailments or are in remission, and every four minutes a new person is diagnosed with blood cancer. Leukemia is the leading cause of cancer death among children and adults under the age of 20.
“The Light The Night Walk supports an extremely important cause that needs consistent financial support and we are encouraging each of our employees, family members, vendors and friends to join us in this worthwhile community event,” explained Len Kennedy, Chief Executive Officer of Roadnet Technologies.
